Image src
Today, almost any information is available to us. The whole world is in our pocket and now it’s time to better understand ourselves.
Today I will present you some facts about online health and “quantified self” movement.
Here are some interesting facts:
- 60% of US adults who use the Internet have looked online for health information in the past year.
- People trust Internet (22%) more than pharmacists (18%) when making healthcare decisions.
- 7 out of 10 US adults (about 175 mln) keep track of a health indicator, but only 21% of them use some form of technology. So here is the market potential.
In this presentation you will see more information about U.S. online health and self-tracking. I want to highlight that we will keep an eye on this trend and keep conversation about it.
I highly recommend you to visit this online book about quantified self and interesting article on Why The Human Body Will Be The Next Computer Interface.
